This locomotive is designed for shunting work on railway sidings. The tests were aimed at confirming the correctness of the technical solutions applied in the areas listed in the Regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure. The research on the locomotive was conducted by the employees of the Rolling Stock Testing Laboratory, Materials and Structure Laboratory, Signalling and Telecommunications Laboratory, Rail Vehicles Department, Railway Traffic Control and Telecom Department and Electrical Power Engineering Department. All tests were carried out on the IK Test Track, which was equipped with a mobile hydrogen charging station.
